אני יושכת כעת בביתי המחומם בזמן שבחוץ מסך לבן של שלג יורד על עירי הקסומה, ומתחיל להערם קמעא על הגגות והעצים. אני מביטה בלובן השמיימי הזה שנשלח אלינו הישר ממעל וליבי מתחמם.
I'm sitting in my well heated house, as a stream of snow falls on my enchanted city, and starts to pile up on the rooftops and the trees. I'm looking at this heavenly white that has been sent to us straight from above and my heart warms up.
יש האוהבים לשייך את בגדי החורף ישירות לצבעים הכהים, מושפעים מהאפרוריות החורפית ומהעננות הגבוהה. אין כל פסול בזה. הצבעים המונוכרומים נראים נהדר על הרקע האפרורי ובמיוחד אם מוסיפים להם זריקת צבע עליזה כמו אדום או ורוד.
אך לא לשם כך נתכנסנו הלילה. ה"צבע" עליו אני רוצה לדבר הוא בעצם קרן אור המכילה את כל הצבעים כולם - ומתמזגת לדבר טהור ומושלם - הלבן.
כן כן, גם בחורף מותר לנו ללבוש לבן! הצבע המשויך בדרך כלל לפלטת הצבעים הקרים, יכול להקרין המון חמימות בדמות כובע פרווה (או עם סיומת פרווה למי שמפחדת יותר מידי...) רך ומלטף.
Some like to associate winter cloths with dark colors, affected by winter gloom and cloudiness. There is nothing wrong with that. Monochromatic colors look great with a wintry background, especially with a dash of bold color like red or hot pink.
But this is not the reason we gathered here tonight. The "color" whom I want to talk about is a ray of light that contains all the colors of the rainbow - and blends into a pure and perfect entity - White.
Yes! We are allowed to wear white even in the winter! The color that is usually associated with the cold colored palate, can also radiate warmth in a form of a soft and fuzzy fur (or fur trimmed) hat.

And what about a wool sweater or a cozy dress?
והדובדבן שבקצפת - מממ.... אולי הקצפת שבדובדבן הוא - המעיל הלבן והמלכותי!
And the cherry on top - hmm... maybe the cream on top - is the royal white coat!
