"אני רוצה לצאת לסיבוב קניות בארון שלך"
פעמים רבות מידי שמעתי את המשפט הזה מחברות, מכרות ואפילו סתם נשים ברחוב ששאלו אותי היכן רכשתי זוג נעליים זה או אחר. אינני מתיימרת להתהדר בתואר "מומחית לענייני אופנה" אך לא פעם אני נהנית לטבול את אצבעי בתבשיל זה לערבב את טעמים וריחות שונים ולהנות מהתוצאות.
מסתבר שגם הסביבה נהנית מכך.
לשם כך אעלה פה מידי פעם מעט מהגיגי, על אופנות העולם המתחלפות, ואלו שנשארות לנצח.
צבעים, בדים, בגדים, נעלים ותכשיטים שונים. כי אמנם אנו - בנות לעם הנצח, שלא שינה את לבושו - בהגדרת צניעות זו או אחרת התואמת לתקופה ולדור. אך אין ספק שתחלופות השנים והעיתים הוסיפו נופך למוצר הנקרא - תלבושת האשה הדתית-חרדית.
לשמחתי אומר, כי בימים אלו הגבולות המגדריים דתים חרדיים - מתחילים להיטשטש דווקא בתחום זה של הלבוש. אם פעם ההבדל היה מובהק, ולא היית רואה פאה על ראשה של אשה דתית, או מטפחת ארוכה על ראשה של חרדית. היום בעידן ה"מיקס אנד מאץ'" (ערבב ולבש) לא אחת ולא שתיים רואים מטפחות מעוצבות על ראשיהן של חרדיות וחצאיות שאינן מטאטאות את הרצפה במגזר הדתי - לאומי.
אמנם דבר לא קל הוא, לאנשים שהפרטיות חשובה להם, לפתוח את ארון הבגדים - וארון הנעלים הפרטי שלהן, אך אם אצליח בכך לעזור, ולו במעט לאלו הטובעות במיימיו השופעים של נהר הרשתות הגדולות ואתרי האופנה הלא נגמרים ורוצות לדוג כמה פנינים לארונן הפרטי - והיה זה שכרי!

"I wanna to go shopping in your closet"
Too many times I heard that phrase from friends, relatives, and even random women on the street who asked me where I purchased one item or another. I don't claim to hold the title of "fashion expert" but often I like to throw together different spices and flavors and enjoy the outcome. I couldn't help notice that usually people actually like it.
Therefore I will post from time to time some thoughts on fashion trends of the world along with fashion that remains timeless.
Colors, fabrics, clothes, shoes and different accessories. While we, the daughters of the eternal people, who maintained our identity throughout history with a distinguishing dress code of modesty, still, the years and years added some flavors to the Jewish Orthodox woman's wardrobe.
Fortunately, these days the boundaries in the entire frum world are starting to fade in this area. If ever the difference was significant, and one would never see a "sheitel" (wig) on the head of a Modern Orthodox woman or a long "teichel" (scarf) on the head of a "Black Hatter" type, today in the "mix and match" era it's not uncommon to see see designer scarves (used as "teichels") on the heads of Charedi women and skirts that don't "sweep the floor" in the Dati Leumi world.
Opening one's private closet is not an easy thing to do, especially for someone who values her privacy, but if I can help, even a little, those who are sinking in the overflowing rivers of major department stores and shopping websites trying to fish out some gems for their own closet, that would be rewarding enough.
